Éva Hegedűs, Psychologist

Psychologist

From a very early age, I was motivated by my desire to work with people, and this motivation led me to choose psychology as my carreer. During my university education I was trained in psychodynamic approach, which is an important pillar of my professional work, and I also use both person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy elements in my counselling sessions. Fundamental to my work is helping under humanistic psychological principles such as acceptance, empathy and professional authenticity.

I have previous experience in many applied fields of psychology, working with children and adolescents in child protection and education; with adults in prisons and with the elderly in psychiatric hospitals and in residential care.

I have also conducted research in the field of Alzheimer's disease as part of my PhD training, and as a university lecturer I have been involved in teaching courses related to the discipline of psychology. I believe that in today's fast-paced and rapidly changing world, it is difficult to find our psychological balance, sometimes we may feel that we cannot do it alone, this is where I can step in and help my clients to be a partner, yet supported by my expertise, to accompany them in solving a problem or situation, or to help them to know themselves better, to develop and to achieve a more balanced life.

This is the issues in which I can you:

Life management blockages

Relationship difficulties

Work-related problems

Communication difficulties

Developing assertiveness

Grief, loss processing

Psychological support for patients with dementia (Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, etc.)

Dementia counselling for relatives
